The year 1056, the emperor Henri III dies, and his/her son Henri IV 6 years old succeeded to him (and remains under the supervision of the emperatrice). In 1056, Baudoin swears fidility with the German king and in 1059, by a peace treaty concluded in Andernach, Baudouin obtains grounds in the Brabant (the walk of Ename), but loses the walk of Valencians (confiscated already in 1045 following its rebellion).
