Definition

The godaille is the fishing party left by the skipper with his marine S, (in addition to their share, which will be versed on their wages, for those which work with the share). It is normally consisted fish, shells, shellfish which could not be normally, because of their quality, presented in shouted.

It corresponds sometimes to a precise percentage of fishing. The godaille is regulated, in weight. It can be checked of the Maritime businesses.

The godaille is, at the origin, the reject or the falls. The term is sometimes still used in the mechanical Industrie.

In the Charente-native Patois, to make godaille means to make chabrot , i.e. to mix wine with its soup remainder. The word godaille does not have then anything to see directly with the reject of fishing.
