God zij puts ons Suriname

God zij puts ons Suriname (in Dutch: God is with us, Surinam ) is the National anthem Suriname, officialized by governmental ordinance December 1959. The first verse, in Dutch, was written in 1893 by Pasteur A.C. Hoekstra, before a second verse in the dialect Sranan Tongo there is added by the poet H.F of Ziel, said Trefossa (1916-1975). The Music, made up in 1876 by J.C of Puy, was not envisaged at the beginning for this use.
