GoboLinux is a Distribution Linux which redefines the whole hierarchy of the Filesystem. For example, one finds the access paths complete following: /Programs/XFree86/4.3/ /System/Settings/BootScripts/Reboot These ways show a contrast with the paths and traditional repertories used by the majority of the Linux distributions and others derived from Unix.

" Instead of having ends of a program thrown in /usr/bin, other ends in /etc and still of other /usr/share/quelquechose/ou/autrechose, each program has its own tree structure of repertories, keeping them all separated well and enabling you to see all that is installed on the system and which files belong to which programs in a simple manner and évidente."

The filesystem of GoboLinux also has other characteristics, as a new system of boot (which does not use System V or the systems of initialization BSD).
