Goal-on-balls
A goal-on-balls is a term employed with the Baseball. When a Lanceur carries out 4 throws judged out of the Zone of the catches, therefore being declared " balles" by the referee with the marble, the striker has the right to advance with the first-goal. If there is already a runner with the first-goal, this one can advance with the second-goal, and so on. If the goals are already fulfilled and that a point must mark following goal-on-balls, the striker having received the 4 balls is seen crediting with a Point produced.
To receive goal-on-balls does not count like an official presence with the stick for the striker, which thus does not see its Moyenne with the stick affected by the performance of the launcher.
Goal-on-balls intentional
It also happens that an intentional Goal-on-balls is granted to a striker. The managers have recourse to this technique to prevent that their launcher does not face a particularly dangerous striker. They then judge more appropriate to grant without effort the first cushion to the striker, in order to measure itself with the following, that the team considers it easier to withdraw. At the time of goal-on-balls intentional, the receiver does not kneel as with the practice, but remains rather upright to catch the voluntarily high throws and out-target of the launcher, while the striker waits until the four balls are launched. It is it should be noted that it will be allowed the striker nevertheless to spring and to strike the ball, if the shooting of the launcher, which wants to be voluntarily vague, missed the target completely and returned in a zone where the ball would be easy to strike. Such a situation is however extremely rare.
