Gloster E28/39
The Gloster E28/39 is the first British jet, designed by the engineer Franck Whittle. It flew for the first time on May 15th, 1941. This plane was a prototype and forever been used in operations as combat, during the Second world war.
This plane was the ancestor, in particular, of the Gloster Meteor, first English jet used in operations of combat, during the Second world war, inter alia in the role of hunter of the rocket German V1.
