Glossu Rabban is a minor character Cycle of Dune, of Frank Herbert. This character is developed more in the under-cycle Before Dune .

Rabban the Animal is the oldest nephew of the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen and for this reason in first line for its succession, the Baron not having a descent. He inherited the cruel and sadistic character of the Harkonnen, but without their intelligence contrary to the other nephew of the Baron, Feyd-Rautha.

Biography

The Baron grants to him the governorship of Arrakis and asking him to increase the quantity of Épice by pressing planet and his inhabitants to the maximum. The outburst of its cruelty and its tyrannical behavior against the rebellion Fremen will make it reject by the population of planet.
