Luster is a computer programming language synchronous, declaratory, and by floods. It has a formal definition, and is used for the programming of the reactive systems. Its development started at the beginning of the Années 1980, within the framework of a research project. It entered the industrial world in 1993, when the company Esterel Technologies published the commercial environment SCADE, of which it constitutes the heart. Gloss from now on is used for the design of critical software in the Aéronautique (Airbus, Eurocopter, Dassault, Pratt & Whitney), the railway one (Eurostar) and the nuclear plants (Schneider Electric).
SCADE
SCADE is an environment of integrated development diffused by Esterel Technologies, whose name means Safety Critical Application Development Environment . It is intended for the design of critical Systèmes.
It is based on the Luster language, and makes it possible to generate code in language C with the Ada.
It is certified DO-178B level has, which explains its popularity in aeronautics.
