The glosa is a international Langue auxiliary developed by Lancelot Hogben (under the name of Interglossa , England, 1943), Ronald Clark and Wendy Ashby (England, 1972-1992). The name “Glosa” comes from the Greek γλοσσα (glossa) , which means “language”.

The Vocabulaire glosa is composed of Latin roots and Greek, which provides the vocabulary of the Science S and the Médecine, and, with less precision, of the major part of the vocabularies French, English, Italian and Spanish; it is thus connected with the Romance Langues. However, contrary to those, the glosa is a insulating Langue (and not flexional): the words are invariable. Glosa is finally a simplified Latin language equipped with a grammar " chinoise" (some will say " small nègre"). It is necessary to recognize a certain effectiveness with this language whose grammar remains simple.
