Gloria Stuart

Gloria Stuart is an American actress born the July 4th 1909 with Santa Monica, California (the United States).

Biography

It signed its first contract with Universal Studios in 1932. She is preferred of the director James Whale, who makes it play in The Old Dark House (1932), The Invisible Man (1933) and The KIS Before The Mirror. Its career does not start quickly when it turns to 20th Century Fox. In the years 1930, she played sides of Lionel Barrymore, Kay Francis, Claude Rains, Raymond Massey, Paul Lukas, John Boles, John Beal and Shirley Temple. She played in some films in the years 1940 but she decided to work for the trade union of the American actors. After thirty years out of the screen, it appeared in televised film of 1975 entitled the legend of Lizzie Borden. In 1982, it plays in the film My Favorite Year and it survives the Breast cancer.

Gloria Stuart reached the celebrity at a advanced age: she is especially known for her role of Pink DeWitt Bukater in the film Titanic of 1997, where she accepted a nomination for better actress in a supporting role. Kim Basinger, much younger, had then gained the price. Since, its talents were requested in the series Murder, She Wrote in 2001 and in the series Land Off Plenty in 2004.
