Glen Pearson

Glen Douglas Pearson (born in 1951) is a Canadian politician . The November 27th 2006, it is elected Député of the Ontarian district of London-Center-North at the time of a by-election under the banner of the Liberal party of Canada.

Pearson is a professional fireman with London (Ontario), known for its caritative and humane work. He is captain of the department of fires of London, where he has worked for 29 years, but he has been more known as a cofounder and a voluntary executive director of the food bank of London for 20 years.

In 1998, with his second wife Jane Roy, Pearson works on various development projects and of rights of the person to the Sudan. This work included/understood in particular constructions of schools and infrastructures, the general Community development and a campaign against the Esclavage.

The October 29th 2006, it gains the nomination of the Liberal party for the by-election in London-Center-North. Its countryside puts the emphase on the environment, health and the responsibility. He is elected on November 27th with 35% of the voices, demolishing his competitors of the green Parti and the Conservative party.

He is father of five children and lives in London with his wife and their adopted girl, Abuk. He and his wife are strong defenders of Christian works and social justice throughout the world.
