1793 Creation of the First Seminar
The shortly after the French revolution, the Perrier abbot, then cleaned Glass-in-Drill, form with the priesthood of young people of the area. Installed in the house curiale and in the inhabitants of the village, the students - called " Loups" - carry out a hard life in a comfort more than summary. In 1807: 107 pupils In 1809: 313 pupils In 1809, thanks to a gift, the priest of Canopies buys the castle of Soleillant. The establishment accommodates some famous pupils in class of philosophy and sciences:

In 1811: An imperial decree removes the seminars In 1814: Abrogation of this decree of 1811
the first 1816 Construction
Important building work of a large building, partly with materials coming from the castle of Soleillant (left northern the castle and vault). In 1819: The pupils regain the borough and move into the new buildings. In 1836: The establishment acquires of the " Campagne" farmhouse for the leisures of the pupils. In 1846 (on December 5th): A violent one sets fire to destroyed the near total of the buildings of this first seminar.
1846 Construction of the second Seminar
After the fire, the rebuilding of the buildings is not made wait: the first stone of the new buildings is posed on March 4th, 1846, work last eight years. In 1905: The law of separation of the Church and the State puts an end to the activities of the seminar. The last tenants are expelled just after the festival of the centenary of the establishment (1804-1904).
Of 1905 to 1946
Property of the commune of Glass-in-Drill during many years, the seminar was sold to private individuals who delivered to the demolition most of the buildings. 20.12.1909: Attribution with the commune of Canopies 1912: Demolition 13.10.1912: Sale by auction with Rey, Gauchet, Chassagneux, undivided purchasers. 11.04.1914: Divide. Attribution with Mr. Gauchet. 1919-1920: Rebuilding The ex-seminar lodges successively: 1919: Alsatian prisoners A departmental observation sanatorium 1924: A work of the Children to the Mountain 27.08.1926: The building is sold by the public office of dwelling with the work of the Children with the Mountain (at a cheap rate). 1927: An orphanage of the pupils of the public schools (inspection of Academy) of 1927 to 1941 1941: A center of Youth (under Pétain)
Towards the LP
After the war the buildings find their function first: teaching, but laic this time. In 1946: The buildings are taken again by technical education (Training college). In September 1953, state education repurchases the buildings with the work of the Children to the Mountain (creation of the technical school: C.E.T.). Old buildings of the seminar of 1846 there remains only one monumental arc, some walls of the old vault and a body of building.
Of 1989 to 1991 great Work
The extension and the reorganization of the L.P of Glass-enForez, were financed by the Rhone-Alps area: labor costs: 56 franc Million * September 1987: choice of the project, and the architects (cabinet Hanssen and Daublain, and Mr. Brassart) * March 21st, 1989: Beginning of work * August 30th, 1991: End of work On the whole of work, essence was carried out in new building (approximately 4/5), and the remainder in reorganization. The total surface area of the buildings has triplet: from 3400 m2 one passed to approximately 10.000 m2.
the College in the year 2000
We are today in the year 2000, the college is thus 9 years old and it will enter the 3rd millenium, like its original buildings. Here thus some stereotypes of our college new bright burning coal… always within a framework geographical natural, splendid, therefore ideal.
