Glagolitic mass (Janáček)
The glagolitic Messe is a work written by Leoš Janáček in 1926 for Orchestre, Orgue, chorus S and Soliste S. the first took place with Prague on June 26th 1926.
It is a work of maturity, the musician having more than 70 years during its composition. The material is nevertheless a resumption of a first mass in E flat, written in 1908.
The text takes again a Liturgie in Slavic Vieux, noted in old a Alphabet glagolitic.
It comprises eight parts and its execution lasts approximately forty minutes. It begin and finishes with a Fanfare. Postludium is available below in audio.
