Giuseppe Zimbalo
Giuseppe Zimbalo (born in 1617 with Lecce, in the Pouilles - died in 1710) was a Italian Architecte of Lecce (Italy of the south) of the artistic time Baroque.
Giuseppe Zimbalo is especially known to have altered the Cathedral (said “the Dome”) of Lecce at the 17th century. The extravagance and the expansion of the decoration of its monuments sometimes were worth the nickname of Zingarello to him, “the small Gypsy”. The exuberant architecture of Lecce made it call the “Florence of the south”. -----
