Giulio Caccini

Giulio Caccini is a type-setter Italy N, born with Tivoli towards 1545, and deceased with Florence in 1618.

It enters to the service of the Medicis in 1565. It composes of madrigaux, sonnets and airs of polyphonic style, then is directed towards a style monodic in which the intelligibility of the text precedes, other polyphonic voices being entrusted to instruments. He interprets his own parts while being accompanied by the Luth or another instrument. He introduces into his compositions of the ornaments at the origin of vocal virtuosity and the Bel canto .

His/her three children, Pompeo, Francesca and Settimia (1591-towards 1640) are also of remarkable singers to the service of the Concerto Caccini , together vocal which will organize representations in Paris during winter 1604/05.
