Giuliano Montaldo

Giuliano Montaldo (born the February 22nd 1930 with Genoa) is a realizer and Italian scenario writer .

Biography

Giuliano Montaldo begins its career as an actor. Student, it is recruited by the realizer Carlo Lizzani to play in the film Achtung! Banditi! which leaves in 1950. The experiment justifies it to learn the trade from scenario writer. He becomes assistant realizer for Carlo Lizzani and Gillo Pontecorvo in particular on the film the Battle of Algiers then realizer in 1961, with its first film Tiro Al piccione . This first milked work of resistance, it is selected with the Mostra of Venice. It will also take part in film with scketchs Extraconiugale for which it carries out the moglie svedese in 1964. In 1982, Giuliano Montaldo carries out an important fresco on Marco Polo for the television, declined in serial.
