Girls band
The term English girls band (literally group of girls) is an expression derived from the male version Boys band (group of boy). It is about a musical group only made up of girls, or women.
One distinguishes in English the girls band from the Girl groups, groups where the women sing but do not play. The girl groups the most known and having recorded arrived with the emergence of the jazz and in particular International Sweethearts off Rhythm founded in 1937.
With the arrival of the Rock'n'roll “roll and the garage band , the first groups only made up of women who play and sing make their appearance in the years 1960.
