Girflet
Girflet or Jauffré is a Chevalier of the Roundtable in the Légende arthurienne. He is the son of Do, and cousin of Lucan and Bedivere.
He initially seems a rider of always King Arthur. When it is adoubé, it makes party of the first knights of the Roundtable. It is also one of the rare survivors of the Bataille of Camlann. At the time of died of Arthur, it is him which is charged to give again Excalibur with the Dame of the Lake. While launching the sword in the lake, Girflet sees the hand of the fairy to seize some.
According to the sources, Bedivere and it share this last role.
Griflet even starred in his own lovesong, Jaufré, the only surviving Arthurian lovesong written in Of Provence. -->
