Girdle of Lyon
The Ceinture of Lyon is a whole of Fortification S established between 1832 and 1874, around the town of Lyon.
It was composed of two defensive barriers, made up of forts, glasses, fear, ramparts, batteries and works, intended to preserve the town of possible foreign attacks.

Second belt
The second belt consists of 26 fortified towns perished urban, built between 1871 and 1890:- Wall enclosing of Cross-Luizet with Gerland (1871). Its influence is aujoud' today occupied by the ring road of Lyon.
