Girancourt

Girancourt is a common French, located in the department of the the Vosges and the area Lorraine.

Its inhabitants is called Girancourtois.

Geography

The village extends along the Canal from the East on several kilometers. It counts several offset hamlets: Wood-of-Girancourt, Void-of-Girancourt, Barbonfoing… the Réservoir of Bouzey encroaches on the oriental party of the commune.

History

; Blasonnement: Of azure to divided arched summoned of a bridge of three arches, summoned of two sand openwork covered turrets, adextré of an openwork tower covered with very and sinistral with a notched tower, the whole of money, accompanied at a peak by a flower of gold lily.

the blazon represents in particular the old castle which, as the flower of lily indicates it, royal symbol, belonged to France.

Inheritance

Saint-Brice Church, going back to 1721.

One finds there two parts of furniture classified historic buildings since 1993: a Virgin with the Child, statue of XVIe, and a Retable carved XVIIIe representative the Virgin between two angels.
