Giovanni Segantini
Giovanni Segantini (born with Arco the January 15th 1858 - deceased in Schafberg Pontresina the September 28th 1899), Italian painter, Symbolist.
He loses his mother with seven years, and his father one year later.
He attends the Brera academy with Milan.
He settles in German-speaking Switzerland close to Saint-Moritz, where he paints many landscapes and dies. On its tomb is written “Arte and amore vincono it tempo” (art and the love triumph over time).
He is the uncle of Rembrandt Bugatti.
