Giovanni Passerini is a Botaniste and a Italian Entomologiste , born the June 16th 1816 or 1819 with Pieve di Guastalla and dead the April 17th 1893 with Parma.

He was professor of Botanique to the Université of Parma. He is the author of very important work on the Aphide S. His collection, rich person of 5  500 specimens corresponding to 52 kind S and 89 species S, is currently preserved by the Natural history museum of the university of Parma.

In 1875, he is the first president of the section of Parma of the Italian alpine club.
