Giovanni Mirabassi is a Pianiste of Jazz born in 1970 with Perugia (Italy), and established with Paris.
Biography
Giovanni Mirabassi is autodidact. Although his/her father is musician amateur (piano, guitar, accordion, song), he a long time dissuaded his son, who tests himself with the family piano, to become musician. It is only at sixteen years that Giovanni takes its first courses of piano, near a professor who makes him discover the jazz.In Italy, he plays very early with international high-speed motorboats, like Chet Baker in 1987, and Steve Grossman in 1988, then decides to be established in Paris in 1992.
In 1996, it gains the price of the best soloist to the Springboard Jazz of Avignon. The same year, with the double bass player Pierre-Stephan Michel it forms the duet Dyade and records its first disc: In due form .
Since, it carries out a career of leader in rooms and studio, and collaborates with many musicians of the Parisian and international scene, like Stefano Di Battista, Flavio Boltro, Louis Moutin, Glenn Ferris, Andrzej Jagodzinski, Michel Portal. He plays in many rooms and international festivals such as the Paris Jazz Festival , Era Jazzu of Warsaw, the JVC Jazz festival of Paris, the Northsea Jazz Festival of Rotterdam.
The Victoires of the Jazz were decreed to him in 2002.
Giovanni Mirabassi composes of many melodies, not only for itself but also for French singers like Agnès Bihl.
