Giovanni Arpino

Giovanni Arpino , born with Pula in Croatia the January 27th 1927 and deceased with Turin the December 10th 1987, is a writer, Journaliste and Italian Scénariste , prize winner of several Literary prize S.

A literary prize bears from now on its name, decreed by the town of Bra, which also dedicated an important arts center to him.

Literary career

Born with Pula, in Croatia, of a Piedmontese family, Giovanni Arpino live during part of its youth with Bra, in the Province of Coni, where he marries Caterina Brero, after which he passes the essence of his life to Turin. Author in 1951 of a thesis on Essénine, it makes known himself the following year by a Romance first which it publishes in the twenty-five years age at Einaudi, Sei stato felice, Giovanni .
