Giovanni Antonio Cavazzi
Giovanni Antonio Cavazzi , missionary about the Capuchin S, born with Montecuccolo close to Modena.
It was sent twice to the Congo (1654 and 1670), there made several conversions, and acquired a major knowledge of the language and manners of the country. It wrote on its return a relation published in 1687 by Fortunato Alamandini (translated by the Père Labat, 1732).
