Giovanni-Francesco Romanelli
Giovanni Francesco Romanelli (Viterbe, 1610 - Viterbe, 1662) was a Italian painter.
Raise Dominiquin then of Pierre de Cortone, it, like this last, one of was protected from the family Barberini and took part in the decoration of the Barberini Palate.
When Barberini were isolated capacity with died of Urbain VIII, Romanelli was destined for Paris by the cardinal Mazarin. It there painted for him a cycle of the Métamorphoses of Ovide for its Parisian hotel (today the Mazarine Gallery of the Richelieu site of National library of France), and took part in the decoration of the apartments of the queen Anne of Austria to the Palais of Louvre (cycle of the Histoire of Romioans and the Jews ), like with that of the Château of Raincy.
