Giorgio Durazzo

Giorgio Durazzo is the founder of the family Durazzo, a family génois E, originating in the town of Durrës.

It takes refuge in Sicily on arrival of the Othoman S in 1387, but it is sold like slave by Génois. Its grandson, Antonio Durazzo becomes merchant of Soie. The family is integrated into the nobility génoise, is combined in Pallavicini and will give several doges to the République of Genoa, several governors of the Corsica as well as many prelates.

Of this family Girolamo Durazzo, last doge of the ligure République is resulting under Napoleon of 1802 to 1805, whose heart is with the the Pantheon of Paris.
