Giorgio Belladonna (June 7th 1923 - May 12th 1995) is a player of Bridge Italian, entered alive the legend of the play of Bridge with thirteen victories of the Bermuda Bowl (a little the equivalent the Coupe Davis).

The Years 1950

It integrates the Squadra Azzurra of the captain Carl' Alberto Perroux with partners like Pietro Forquet or Eugenio Chiaradia, called it Professor .

It is pointed out at the time of its first two championships of Europe and gains the first Bermuda Bowl of the history of the Italy, in 1957 which is followed at once from two others.

The Years 1960

The beginning of the year 1960 sees a very light bad patch since the Blue TEAM is ridiculed with the Olympiads of Turin. But almost at once are connected the Bermuda Bowl of 1961, 1962, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1969, intersected by the seconds and third Olympiads (1964 in New York, 1968 with Deauville in May - June 68).

The Years 1970

Decade (1972, 1973, 1974, 1975), whose Belladonna will say that it will have had “less play”, she ends in three places of second.

It should be stressed that Belladonna lives by monnayant its talents, initially within the Lancia TEAM , which imposes ceaseless displacements to him which hardly support the maintenance of an high level of concentration, nor as much of time than before improving its system of bidding sophisticated, many years before the Majeure fifth.

Despite everything, it will have then been enough for him to leave its semi-retirement from time to time to remain world number one until its death, a few months before a Bermuda Bowl being held with Beijing.
