Ginette Nephew
Ginette Nephew , born the August 11th 1919 with Paris, deceased the October 28th 1949 off the islands of the the Azores, French Violonist.
Child prodigy, it makes beginnings with the concert Salle Gaveau with Paris at seven years and half with the concerto for violin of max Bruch. She works with Line Talluel then with the Conservatoire of Paris with Mr. Boucher where in a few months, she obtains a first price. She follows the teaching of Georges Enesco and will collect many prices; in 1935, after its first place with the contest Wieniawski with Warsaw in front of David Oïstrakh, it is a success growing in the whole world.
During the years of war, it deepens its play and its répertoire.
Herbert von Karajan intervenes with EMI, it will be able to record its great interpretations of the concerto for violin of Brahms, of the concerto for violin of Sibelius, Tzigane of Ravel, the Poème op.25 of Chausson, etc
All the more invaluable testimonys as the October 28th 1949, the plane which transports it crushes with the the Azores (the boxer Marcel Cerdan also forms part of the victims).
The play of Ginette Neveu is characterized by the density, the width magnifiée by a very female tenderness.
