Gilly-sur-Isère is a common French, located in the department of the Savoy and the area the Rhone-Alps.
Its inhabitants is called the Gillerains .
Geography
Gilly-sur-Isère is located in edge of Albertville at the bottom of the Combe of Savoy from where one can reach the valleys of Maurienne and Tarentaise like with the valley of Arly and with the Beaufortain.

Excavations of a Gallo-Roman villa were discovered in the commune in the years 1970. Objects of these excavations are currently exposed to the museum of Albertville (located at Conflans).
