Gillian Hills

Gillian Hills is a singer Yé-yé and an actress of cinema of English origin, born with the Cairo (Egypt) the June 5th 1944, which was a certain success in France, with the beginning of the year sixty.

Eddie Barclay produced its first discs whereas it was still teenager. Its most known titles: My first cigarette (1960), Neck-layer basket (1960), Zou zou kiss (1961)… She was, a time, the egery of the radio broadcast Salut the buddies . Charles Aznavour composed two songs to him: do not believe especially and Jean-Lou (1961). She is also known for her duets: Close to the cascade (1960), with Henri Salvador, Specialization and Let us like us (1960), with Eddie Constantine, a small cup of anxiety (1963), with Serge Gainsbourg, and It is well better like Ca (1962), with Eddy Mitchell and the Black Socks. Its last disc was published at Disc AZ: Nothing is changed (1964). She recorded in a whole forty songs taken again for the majority on double CD in the series Twistin' the rock'n'roll (Barclay).

Gillian Hills also turned in a dozen films, small roles generally, which emphasize its youthful beauty and its sexy side. The realizer Roger Vadim, who appreciated his resemblance to Brigitte Bardot, gave him his first chance in the dangerous Connections (1959). It holds its principal roles in the Teaser ( Beat Girl , 1960), of Edmond T. Gréville, the Fault of the abbot Mouret (1970), of Georges Franju and Nana (1970), of Mac Ahlberg. One also sees it in Blow-Up (1966), of Michelangelo Antonioni.
