Gilles de Maublanc
Gilles de Maublanc is a French engineer of the IDN (now " Lille" power station;).
Born in 1940, it enters in 1966 at engine BTP and will make all its career in group (engine being currently subsidiary of the Vinci group).
It directs the construction of the large bridge of Rion-Antirion, in Greece, by the French group Vinci, whose construction required the implementation of novel methods adapted to an extremely difficult environment by the elements of the great depth of water, the active faults and an important seismicity.
Rewards
It receives with Jean-Paul Teyssandier the first national Grand Prix of engineering for the Harilaos-Trikoupis bridge, completed in 2004, a Bridge stayed girder - Autoroute which constitutes a highway viaduct carried out in very difficult circumstances, with very important constraints of calculation.
