Gilles Papain

Gilles Papain , born with Marseilles in 1969, is a Vidéaste French.

Biography

After having been assistant with the setting in scene of Jacques Karpo, Gilles Papain works like Régisseur of scene with l´ Opéra of Marseilles until in 1999.

Engaged in 2000 with the Ballets of Monte Carlo as an artistic manager, it carries out films entering the scenography of ballets for Jean-Christophe Maillot such as “Eye for eye”, “the beautiful one”, “Men' S dance”, “Of a bank to the other”, “Miniatures”, “the dream”…

Then, quickly many other projects take it along to begin an independent career. In particular, he is l autor of several films in collaboration with the choreographers Jacopo Godoni and Beniot Swan Pouffer (for the company Cedar Lake with New York), the realization d´images 3D and of films QTVR for the Cirque of the Sun, a video design for the ballet of Heinz Spoerli with the Opéra of Zurich (spectacle which will be recreated in June 2007 for the National company of dance of Lisbon) as well as the achievements of video projections for Roland Aeschlimann and Charles Roubaud for the Choregies d'Orange and will l´opéra of Marseilles.
