Gilles Pélisson

Gilles Pélisson , born the May 26th 1957, is leading of company, old chairman of Euro Disney and Bouygues Telecom. Since January 2006, he is general Administrator-Director of the group Accor.

Course

Gilles Pélisson is graduate Essec and has a MBA Harvard. He began his career at Accor, whose his/her uncle Gerard Pélisson is one of the two founders. Gilles Pélisson initially spent six years to the the United States as marketing director of the restaurants Seafood Broiler, then senior vice-president of Accor for the Asia-Pacific zone. He was then named in France, always within Accor, in 1988 managing director of the Courtepaille restaurants, then in 1993 copresident of the hotel chain Novotel.

In 1995, it joined Euro Disney as managing director, and is promoted general President-director in February 1997. In April 2000, it passed to the group Suez as director of the consortium Suez-Telefonica ST3G, candidate for a license UMTS, and chair of the operator of the cable network Noos. In September 2001, it joined Bouygues Telecom as managing director and is promoted chairman in February 2004.

The January 9th 2006, Gilles Pélisson was appointed general Administrator-Director of the Accor group, as the principle was stopped by it since October 2005. It replaced Jean-Marc Espalioux, which directed the group since 1997.

Other mandates and activities

Gilles Pélisson is Chevalier of the Legion of Honor and Chevalier of the National order of the Merit. Gilles Pélisson is also member and Vice-président of the Board of trustees of the Group Lucien Barrière SAS, member of the Board of trustees of Lenôtre, administrator of the group Bic S.A, President of the Board of trustees of Group ESSEC.

He is also founding shareholder of the network of Business angel S Coach' Invest.

Gilles Pélisson is member of the Institut Aspen France, of the Harvard Club of New York City, of the Club 40 and the Siècle.
