Gilles Mallet

Gilles Mallet was guard of the royal Librairie of 1369 with 1411.

In 1373, it draws up, “estans in its chastel of Louvre in troiz rooms one on the other”, the inventory of the library. The original disappeared but one preserves two more copies made in 1380 to draw up the list of the manuscripts with died of the king Charles V. The first copy, transcribed on a scroll of parchment, was transmitted to Charles VI with the key of the bookstore. The second copy forms a register paper and was in possession of Gilles Mallet.
