Gilles Jean Marie Barazer de Kermorvan

Gilles Jean Marie Barazer de Kermorvan , knight of Kermorvan, (1740, Châtelaudren - 1817), military French.

Lieutenant in the Regiment of Brie (1758 - 1763). It is used under the command as Pulaski with the Othomans in their war against the Russians (1772 - 1775).

Patented engineer, it is recommended to Benjamin Franklin by Jacques Barbeu-Dubourg in 1776. It is one of first French to come to America (1776).

George Washington gives him a letter of introduction for the American Congress which appoints it lieutenant-colonel and engineer. It turns over to France (1778 or 1779).
