Gilles Hocquart

Gilles Hocquart (born in 1694 with Mortagne-with-Pole, France, deceased in 1783) is intendant of the News-France of 1731 with 1748.

Gilles Hocquart is known to have supported agriculture, the establishment of new colonists between Quebec and City-Marie (Montreal) and naval construction.

Of return in France, Gilles Hocquart is named intendant of the port of Brest, station which it will occupy of 1748 with 1763.
