Gilles Barrel

Gilles Baril (Saint-Eugene-with-Guigues, March 24th, 1957 in Quebec -) is a Politician Québécois and a former minister for the Gouvernement of Quebec. He was appointed pequist of Rouyn-Noranda-Témiscamingue of 1981 with 1985 and of Berthier of 1994 with 2002.

Biography

Studies and beginning of career

Gilles Baril studied in Journaliste and Political science with the Université of Moncton. It obtained there its baccalaureat in 1979. He will follow his occupation as chronicler for Radio-Canada with Moncton of 1975 with 1979. Biography

Studies and beginning of career

He began his bringing together with the Parti Québécois at the time of his employment as assistant private secretary the deputy Jean-Paul Bordeleau and like assistant policy of François Gendron. He will be Minister for the Areas (2001 - 2002), Trade and Minister of Industry (2001 - 2002), minister responsible for the Leisure and the Sport (2001 - 2002), Minister for the Natural resources, minister responsible for the development of Québécois North (2002).

February 12th, 2002 in Quebec, he resigns suddenly of the whole of his ministerial functions. The election of 1985 opposed Gilles Baril to Gilles Baril. Indeed, the respective candidates of the Left Québécois and the Liberal party Quebec bore the same name! Gilles Baril of the Liberal party gained the election.
