Gilgamesh (comics)
Gilgamesh was a superman created by Marvel Comics, appeared for the first time in Eternals #13 , in 1977.
Origin
Gilgamesh was a warrior belonging to the race of the Eternels. He wandered on Earth during Antiquity, helping the villagers to eliminate the dangerous animals, the gangsters and the tyrants. One thus confused it often with legendary the Hercules, or even Samson. It was called the Hero, or Gilgamesh.
Zuras, the chief of Eternal, decided to punish the Hero who showed himself too proud and too much “human”, by confining it in a district of the city of Olympia. Forgotten was thus banished during centuries, remainder alone in its insulation.
Centuries later, whereas the Deviating threatened to cause a war against the Célestes, the young person Sprite left to seek the assistance of the warrior. He was helped by the Celestial ones.
He reappeared on Earth, plugs (although he can normally cure blindness in some time. It is thought that its blindness was a warning of Celestial for the Eternal ones, so that they do not act against them. To thank it, Zuras accepted its return and the name of Hero gave him.
At the request of the Celestial ones, it left to help Kro, the new chief of Deviating, in the city of Lémuria.
Later, he travelled to New York and protected the town of a démoniaque invasion. He joined the Vengeurs and remained with them, being made call Gilgamesh. He was killed by a trick of Immortus (Kang).

Gilgamesh was an Eternal. He thus had all the innate capacities of this race (immortality, immunity with the diseases, flight until Mach1, handling of energy in the shape of laser beams…
- As a warrior, Gilgamesh could soulver 100 tons, like Thor. It was an experienced combatant, who liked to use any kind of weapon of mélée.
