Gilbert de Montpensier
Gilbert de Bourbon , born in 1443, died in Pouzzoles the October 15th 1496, was count '' of Montpensier '' and dolphin of Auvergne, count de Clermont, and viceroy of Naples.
It was wire of Louis I {{er}} of Bourbon, count de Montpensier and of Gabrielle of the Tower of Auvergne.

The alive one of his/her father, it carried the title of count-dolphin , and made its first weapons against Charles Bold the, duke of Burgundy in 1471 and 1475. During the insane War, it remained faithful to the regent Anne of France and fought François II, duke of Brittany in 1487. In 1489, it operated in the Roussillon against the Aragoneses of Ferdinand II of Aragon.
Lastly, it accompanies Charles VIII in the first war by Italy, and remained with Naples like viceroy. It fought Ferdinand d' Aragon which had unloaded in Italy, but died of the fevers which decimated its troops.

He had married in Mantoue the February 24th 1482 Claire de Gonzague (1464 † 1503), girl of Frederic I {{er}}, marquis de Mantoue and of Marguerite of Bavaria, and had had:
