Gilbert G. Groud

Gilbert G. Groud (born about 1956 with Ice floe sub-prefecture of Toulepleu) is an artist of the Ivory Coast, computer graphics expert, illustrator, painter and author of cartoon, residing in Switzerland since 2007.

Biography

Groud G. Gilbert is African: father sculptor and warlike dancer, mother singer. He studied Arts with the National institute of arts (INA), department of the Art schools to Abidjan, of 1979 in 1986.

Gnangbei Gilbert is known under the name of Groud . Groud is the derivative of the name of his/her father (Grou), followed suffix " - d" , the suffix of the name which his/her paternal grandmother gave him (Gnand).

After the secondary, Gilbert Groud is directed with the INA in 1979. He entered there with a gold medal. A medal which it obtained while taking part in a contest of painting organized by the Netherlands in 1975. The topic: “environment”. It illustrated a scene on the protection of the elephants in style of data base

In 1982 with Beautiful arts, Groud obtained the first price of the contest of painting for a Stamp against the Tobacco: organized by the Institute Main road of Public health (INSP) in Abidjan.

Gilbert Groud left Beautiful arts by the small door to work in an advertizing agency (Lintas) which sought a model maker. He was also artistic director in various agencies of Pub. Gilbert Groud also paints. He a long time hesitated to publish his work black Magie , who reveals a sensitive topic in Africa, the misdeeds of the Sorcellerie.
