Gijs van Lennep

Gijs van Lennep (born the March 16th 1942 with Aerdenhout) is a pilot of automobile race Dutch. He disputed in particular 8 Grands Prix of Formule 1 between 1971 and 1975 and marked 2 points with the championship of the world of the pilotes
He is especially known to have gained by 2 times the 24 hours of Mans.

Biography

Van Lennep runs for the team Porsche in the sport scar in 1967 and gains the 24 hours of Mans 1971 with Helmut Marko at the wheel of the #22 Porsche 917 with the color of Martini, establishing the record always topicality in 2007 of the longest distance covered at the 24 hours with 5 335,310 km and a mean velocity of 222,304 km/h.
