Demography

Various information and facts

This small rural district counts even more bovines than inhabitants, but the things did not dervaient to be long in changing considering only the area of the Petite Mountain to which it belongs loses days in days its owners. Nevertheless which spectacle when by a rainy weather, you voyer a herd cows to cross Suran to the stroke.
  • And like says it Brassens:
It is true that they are pleasant all these small villages (...) They have one weak point and it is to be inhabited by (...) the race of chauvinistic, of the carriers of rosettes. Eh yes, Gigny does not escape the rule…
  • Gigny on Suran, commune of the valley of Suran has one of the first abbeys clunisiennes. If it is true that the valley of Suran pains to develop economically, Gigny is characterized by the development from a suburban zone and by the appearance of trade in the center of the village.

Obviously, it is easy to show finger these communes which try to make change the things with their (weak) average. The Mayor, Michel CAILLON, child of the valley, elected without label intends well to keep his independence with respect to the political parties. To make evolve/move mentalities is already a strong challenge. Do not hesitate to visit the www.gigny.fr.vu site to learn some from advantage.
  • the suburban zones are the reflection of suburbs dortoires, which saw a life of village with Gigny? The inhabitants tear small quarrels, lose their common identity, their attachment with the ground and do nothing but pass in these places of calm where nature does not require to be chamboulée. A mayor who is if he thinks only in term of economic development? If the inhabitants of the village see in him only one representative of the law and not a person anchored to Gigny which lives for this village? A village lives thanks to its inhabitants and not only by its trade. Perhaps should be raised the following question: Why the children of Gigny do not find any more the desire for living there? At which time one was mistaken?
