Gifted-the-Fountain is a common French, located in the department of Maine-et-Loire and the area Pays of the Loire.

Geography

Endowed the Fountain is in Douessin to 15 km of Saumur, 40 km of Angers, 10 km of Montreuil Bellay and with 40 km of Cholet.

In 1962, there were 5633 inhabitants. In 1968, there were 6018 inhabitants. In 1975, there were 6497 inhabitants. In 1982, there were 6724 inhabitants. In 1990, there were 7260. In 1999, there were 7450 inhabitants and in 2007 there are approx. 7800 inhabitants.

Gifted-the-fountain is a rather tourist city, and in particular thanks to its called underground cellars: Cellars troglodytes. Endowed is built on a network of cellars to impressive dimensions (more than 4 hectares for the site of the Stone quarries). Certain sites are public and others private. The most animated period commune is from April at October. Tourism strongly contributes to local development, it supports the passage of people of all the countries and makes it possible to make “live” the city in summer period. For a town of almost 8000 inhabitants, Doué is rich in various trade and services.
