Don Carlos (born Euvin Spencer) is a singer and an author/type-setter jamaïcain of reggae. Don Carlos starts to sing in 1973. In 1974, it founds Black Uhuru with Duckie Simpson, group which it leaves very quickly to launch out in a career as a soloist.
It then carries out in solo several albums of which Time is the Master; Plantation; Lazer Beam. It takes again the legendary title Satta Massagana of the group The Abyssinians. Don Carlos is an important reference of the reggae roots. Johnny Big Mouth , Young Girl , Cool Johnny Cool remain among its most known songs. As to the majority of the artists jamaïcains of his time, much of the songs of Gift Carlos relate to the religion rastafarienne.
