Gift Camillo in Russia

This Italian film goes back to 1965 and the director is Luigi Comencini. The two characters are with the catches during a voyage in Soviet Union.

The summary

Peppone proposes one to make a twinning with a Russian city located on the Gift but the proposal does not like Don Camillo which sees in this proposal a will of dangerous electioneering propaganda for its ideas.

Don Camillo succeeds in finding a solution with its problem by obliging Peppone to take it along with him. During this voyage, between the contests of vodka and the difficulties of communication, Peppone will discover that Russia is not really the perfect world which he had imagined.
