Gideon Ezra

Gideon Ezra (in Hebrew: גדעוןעזרא ), born with Jerusalem the June 30th 1937, is a member of Parliament with the Israeli Knesset . Minister for Environment since the May 4th 2006.

Course

Of 1955 to 1958, it serves in the Israeli defense force, in the Nahal.
Of 1962 to 1995, it is useful in the Shabak. It enters the private sector then and works for " Ituran ", an Israeli company.
In 1996, it is elected with the Knesset like member of the party Likoud.
With the formation in December 2005 of the new party of Ariel Sharon, Kadima, it leaves the Likoud and joined Kadima.

Of the March 7th 2001 with the February 28th 2003: Vice-minister of the Internal security.
Of the July 4th 2004 with the August 31st 2004: Acting minister of Tourism.
Of the September 6th 2004 with the September 29th 2004: Acting minister of the Internal security.
Of the November 29th 2004 with the May 4th 2006: Minister for the Internal security.
Of the August 31st 2004 with the January 10th 2005: Minister for Tourism.
Since the January 18th 2006: Minister for Environment.
