New York Giants

Created in 1883, the frankness from San Francisco is counted today like one of most important of MLB. But San Francisco was not always the city accommodating the frankness, and its current name evolved/moved with time, the changes of owners and sites. Indeed during seasons 1883,84, and the 85 Gothams played New York then took the name of New York Giants as from 1886. During their New Yorkean period, Giants evolved/moved with the Polo Grounds (1911-1957).

Giants hang 17 flags of the national league between 1888 and 1954 and gain five times the World Series between 1905 and 1954.

The New York Giants constitute with the Yankees and Dodgers the major trio of New Yorkean baseball. This period takes end in 1958 with the removal of Giants in San Francisco and that of Dodgers with Los Angeles. The historical competition between the deus franknesses goes thus perdurer on the west coast.

San Francisco Giants

In San Francisco, Giants evolved/moved with the Candlestick Park (1960-1999) before settling in 2000 with the AT&T Park (ex- Pacific Bell Park , renamed SBC Park in 2004, then AT&T Park in 2006). San-Franciscains however generally continue to call the stage by its nickname of the beginnings, PacBell Park .

Since their transfer in California, Giants gained three flags of the national league in 1962, 1989 and 2002 and never could be essential in World Series.
