Gianluca Pagliuca

Gianluca Pagliuca , born the December 18th 1966 with Bologna (Italy), is a Football Italian or which plays goalkeeper for Ascoli Calcio 1898. With the team of Italy it took part in the world cups of 1994 and 1998.

With CPU Sampdoria Genoa, it gained the Coupe of Europe of the winners of cuts in 1990 and a title of Champion of Italy in 1991, but lost finally Ligue of the champions in 1992 against FC Barcelona.

It gained a UEFA Cup in 1998 with Inter Milan.

It signs in 2006 its return in Series has by signing a one year old contract in Ascoli which could be its last club of its professional path and also take part in its last professional season.

It took part in the world cup of 1994 which saw the defeat of the team of Italy finally against the team of Brazil at the conclusion of the test of shootings to the goal (in spite of a lucky stop by Pagliuca)

After one second participation in a world cup, in 1998 where it replaces with the foot raised Angelo Peruzzi (casualty little before the competition), Pagliuca was barred in national selection by Francesco Toldo and Gianluigi Buffon. It cumulated 39 selections with the team of Italy.
