Gianadda foundation

The Fondation Gianadda is a great site of exposure of private art accessible to the public, located at Martigny in the canton of the Valais in Suisse.

The foundation employs nearly 60 paid for an annual budget of 8 million Swiss francs, in which the Mécénat between for a quarter and public allocations for 2%.

In 1976, with the accidental death of Pierre Gianadda, his brother Léonard makes build with his memory, on the site of a Roman temple which has just been put at the day, a large blind concrete building, posed above the temple. It can receive exposures on the sides and in the concerts to the center. It was not modified since. Underground enlargings were spared to accommodate a collection of Automobile S old and the 10 masterpieces of the Collection Louis and Evelyn Franck.

More twice a year, great exposures are organized which make it possible to discover works resulting from private collections, seldom exposed to the general public.

Since its opening the foundation accommodated more visitors than the number of the Swiss population.
